Cégep André-Laurendeau

Products and services:
Provide training for the new entrepreneur and the self-employed. The training format aims at acquiring the necessary skills, abilities and knowledge to run a business. Using hands-on workshop methods, the subject range covers, for instance, business plans, communications, marketing, advertising, promotion, customer service, financing, accounting, legal issues, business management, WEB transactions and export;
Business diagnosis;
Entrepreneurial awareness; 
"Le concours québécois en entrepreneurship", A contest opportunity to become The Entrepreneur of Montreal Island's south-west region;

The (CLE), Verdun Employment Centre, offers business managers a technical and financial assistance, in order to help them :
Adapt to changes, liable to affect their enterprise;
Improve their administrative practices;
Improve personnel management.

The role of the business consultant is to guide you in identifying your needs and, in finding the proper authority to help meet your expectations.

We also offer:
Occupational integration income subsidies;
Electronic hiring services;
Information on the 1% Act (in favor of developing training and labour).

Self-employment assistance
Emploi-Québec heads the Soutien au travail autonome measure through the CLE and CLD Centres, respectively : Centres Locaux d'Emploi and Centres Locaux de Développement. These intermediaries provide assistance during the initial stages of starting out in business. You may benefit from the Soutien au travail autonome measure, if:
You intend to create or acquire an enterprise;
You are not eligible to another business starting out program;
The support provided by the measure is essential to succeed in your project.

Assistance comes in two ways : Technical support and Financial Support, as the case may be. For more information concerning the eligibility criteria, you may contact one of the employment agents at the Centre local d'emploi.
